Professional Background

I have been a clinical psychologist since 1971, having received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Over the past forty-three years I have worked in a variety of settings, including private and public mental health centers, a university counseling center, hospitals, employee assistance programs and, of course, independent private practice. I have also consulted to small family owned businesses as well as larger, Fortune 500 organizations. In addition, I have provided supervision to other mental health professionals and have served as a board member for several professional organizations.

Since obtaining my doctorate degree, I have continued postgraduate training by way a variety of workshops and seminars offered by various organizations such as The Family institute of Chicago, Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and the Washington State Psychological Association. In addition, I am a graduate of the Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society analytic training program and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association (FIPA).
